Pregnant Women Vaccination Recommendations

Vaccinating pregnant women with inactivated vaccinations has not been shown to have any risk to infants. Women are not recommended to be vaccinated with weakened live virus during pregnancy due to a theoretical risk of transmission of the weakened vaccine virus to the fetus. It is important that pregnant women be vaccinated with the recommended vaccines to prevent the spread of disease. In most cases, the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks.
